Scene Journey Close up Shot 20
Base Environment: Marcelo Sousa
Animation: Jeffry Syahputra Wy
Lookdev, Rendering, Comp: Delcio Gomes
CFX: Rodrigo Henrique
My take on this close-up shot of the stairway to the Temple Entrance was creating the detailed model of the stairs and side pillars, set dressing, and connecting the Temple entrance to the interior scene.
Working on Everlasting was a truly unique and refreshing experience—completely outside of my usual comfort zone. Coming from a background rooted in real-time engines, this was my first time contributing to an animation production, and it was both exciting and eye-opening to be part of a different creative process. I did my best to support wherever I could.
With my architectural background, I naturally gravitated toward helping set up the temple environment, working closely with concept art and following the direction from the CG supervisor. Early in the project, I took a short break due to a major life event—I became a father! 😊When I rejoined, the temple had taken a new direction, shifting toward a style inspired by St. Peter's Basilica. My role evolved into laying out the foundation and architectural components, effectively creating a kitbash system for the team to build on and detail further. I also contributed to a close-up shot with some modelling work, which was a great excuse to jump back into ZBrush.
In addition, I lent a small hand with some cape cloth simulations by Rodrigo Henrique. He handled all the setups—I just experimented with the settings to fine-tune a few details.
Overall, Everlasting was a rewarding project that challenged me in new ways, allowed me to collaborate with a talented team, and pushed me to adapt to a non–real-time production pipeline.
Scene Temple

My take on this final scene was to create the layout of the temple and the component pieces to be detailed later. The temple was inspired by St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
